Marine ecosystems are under various anthropogenic threats. We are investigating impacts of fishery, tourism and marine traffic on animals. Currently, sharks, whales and dolphins are in the focus of our research. International collaboration is of imminent importance to broaden the spectrum of methods which can be applied and to search for causes and impact on marine organisms.

To explore potential impacts to cetacean populations inhabiting the Strait of Gibraltar, we analysed a Photo-database covering observed incidences over 15 years.
